🚵 Ubud Cycling Tour — The Most Scenic Ride in Bali

Ubud Cycling Tour is a 25km downhill mountain bike ride from the Kintamani highlands (1,200m above sea level) through traditional Balinese villages, working coffee and cocoa plantations, ancient Hindu temples, UNESCO rice terraces, and tropical forest — finishing in central Ubud. The route is almost entirely downhill, making it suitable for all fitness levels including families with children and first-time cyclists. No experience required.

Ubud Center has been running this cycling tour since 2015. Our local guides are born and raised in the villages along the route — they know every temple, every family compound, every fruit tree. This is not a tourist trail. You will cycle through roads where local families live, farm, and celebrate ceremony. Honestly, this is the best way to see the real Bali that most visitors never find from inside a car.

💡 Local tip: Start point is at 1,200m altitude in Kintamani — it’s noticeably cooler than Ubud (18–22°C in the morning vs 28–30°C in Ubud). Bring a light jacket for the first 30 minutes. The ride warms up quickly as you descend. Best months: May–October for dry roads and clear views of Mount Batur at the starting point.
